Device Aware Firewall
The Device Aware Firewall is the next era of firewalls. 100% in the cloud, Priatta's Device Aware Firewall uses patent pending DeviceDNA technology powered by machine learning to discover, classify and protect Internet connected devices.
Discovery
Continuous awareness of what is connected
Classification
Dynamic profile of what devices should do
Protection
Automatic control of what devices may do
Today's security doesn't address the massive explosion in types of devices connected to enterprise networks:
Features and Benefits
Features | Benefits |
---|---|
Advanced DeviceDNA technology powered by machine learning | Automatically identify and classify devices for real-time protection via policy or operator decision |
Real-time visibility and protection from a single pane of glass | Know what is connected to any network at anytime from anywhere |
Detailed flow visibility for every connected device | See what each connected device is doing |
Instantly block Internet flow for any device | Block compromised or unauthorized devices with one click |
Centralized policy management | Define and enforce policies across all locations |
100% cloud-based | Minimize risk of new devices with cloud-scale machine learning and classification |
Agentless | No need to install software on endpoint devices which is nearly impossible for IoT |
Hardware / Software-free | No need to buy, install or maintain on-premise appliances which saves time, money and headaches |
Decryptionless technology | No managing keys or risking privacy associated with SSL decryption and inspection |
Two transformative technologies brought together
DeviceDNA
Priatta uses patent pending device DeviceDNA technology powered by machine learning to continuously monitor Internet traffic and dynamically identify new devices. Inspired by DNA science (a concept of genetic genealogy which uses DNA to identify and infer genetic relationships), our process:
Cloud-native
Priatta's 100%-cloud approach provides instant identification of any given device across networks. Truly multi-tenant, but with a shared classification database, Priatta provides real-time control while also maintaining customer privacy. In addition, Priatta's cloud eliminates legacy hassles:
This powerful combination of DeviceDNA technology powered by machine learning and cloud-native approach enables a solution that is:
Agentless
Identifies, classifies and protects devices without installing agents
Secure
Provides classification and control without the privacy risks of SSL decryption and inspection
HW/SW Free
Saves time, money and headaches with no on-premise appliances to buy, install or maintain
Which solves a problem that is simply too big for existing solutions in terms of volume, variety and vulnerability:
About Priatta Networks
Priatta's founders have recognized that three megatrends are dramatically changing the enterprise security landscape.
Internet-connected devices
The number and variety of Internet-connected devices are rapidly expanding
Cloud is the new normal
Enterprises are increasingly migrating to scalable, cost-efficient cloud computing infrastructure
Artificial Intelligence
Advances in Artificial Intelligence research are enabling revolutionary new solutions
The combination is certain to present unimaginable opportunities but also unthinkable dangers.
Billions of devices. All connected to the Internet. All potentially vulnerable to sophisticated
AI-enabled attacks.
With expertise ranging from programming NASA robots (arguably the first connected devices) to
pioneering SD-WAN technology, the founders developed patent pending DeviceDNA technology
powered by machine learning and the world's first 100% cloud Device Aware Firewall
Leadership
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Recognized entrepreneur and innovator, Scott was the founder
and CTO of Pertino Networks (sold to Cradlepoint) where the emergence of
cloud computing inspired the idea to build flexible, private, overlay
networks and what came to be known as SD-WAN.
Prior to starting Pertino, he developed core networking technology and ran
the deep packet inspection teams at Packeteer and BlueCoat. Scott began his
career building robots for NASA before coming to Silicon Valley for some
excitement.
Over his career, Scott has been granted 11 patents in networking, deep
packet inspection and cloud systems.
Scott has an MS, EE from Stanford University and a BS, CS from the
University of Texas at Arlington.
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Accomplished company builder and business leader, Tom most
recently served as CFO of Kaleidescape, a high-end media server company.
During his 10 years with Kaleidescape, he also headed IT, HR, Manufacturing,
Technical Support and DevOps. He was instrumental in growing the company
from a start-up to more than $50M, and transitioning the business from
selling home servers that imported movies from discs to marketing a
cinematic experience that included online selection, purchase and delivery
of the highest quality studio licensed movies.
Prior to joining Kaleidescape, Tom held leadership positions at PalmSource (
and its predecessors Palm, 3Com and USRobotics) and NCR.
Tom has an MBA from Indiana University and a BS, CE from the University of
Dayton, and has earned the CMA designation.
